You can save anything that is printable on your Mac as a PDF. PDF files are great because you can open them on pretty much every computer operating system and mobile device. While some platforms may require you to download Adobe Reader or another PDF reader, Mac OS comes with a PDF viewer built in called “Preview.” You can use this to view PDF files on the Mac.
- Select the website or item that you wish to print. Click “ File” and then select” Print.” In Safari, you also have the option of simply selecting “Export as PDF,” but that may not be available in all programs.
- This is the print dialog box. Select “PDF” in the lower left hand corner.
- Select “Save as PDF…”As you can see, there are other options of how you want to use the PDF file that you can select directly from this menu.
- Name your file and save.
