MacOS X Version 10.11.4 now allows users to password protect individual notes in the Notes app. If only Evernote would allow this….
The process is pretty simple.
  1. Open Notes and select the note you wish to password protect.

2. Select the lock button and then select “Lock This Note.”

3. Choose a password and then select “Set Password.”

4. When you are done editing a note and wish to lock it, press the lock button and then select “Close All Locked Notes.”
