Sometimes, an app quits responding. The mouse or cursor turns into what some call the “spinning beachball of death.” There is a way to quit these unresponsive apps without restarting your computer.
- Click the Apple logo in the upper lefthand corner of the screen.
- Click “Force Quit.” Yours will not say “Force Quit Finder.” That happened because of the keys I pressed to take a screenshot.
- Select the program that you wish to quit and select “ Force Quit.”
