Suppose you are writing a paper and want to change the spacing between the lines of text.You can change the spacing of the lines of text before writing your document, or you can do it after writing your document. This post will show you how to change line spacing in Google Docs after you’ve written your text, but you can apply this same step before writing your document as well.
Select your text and click the FORMAT pull-down menu. Select “Line spacing.”
There you will get several options for changing the spacing between the lines of text in your document. You can choose the options listed (1.15, 1.5, Double, Add space before paragraph, Add space after paragraph), or you can select “Custom spacing…” and put in any number you wish for the amount of spacing you want to have in your document.
I choose to use double spacing, and my result is below.
